In the past we've built a few VC-backed companies each, and while we were quite successful, the VC game just doesn't really work in Germany. No big IPO, no FAANG companies to sell to.
It's simply better if you build companies focused on EBIT, with a chance for buy&build or exit to a PE down the line.
